Assignment 2

I think the most important lessons that I have learned in school throughout my life is that Early Childhood Education program. I took an Early Childhood Education (ECE) program in George Brown College. There are several reasons why the course is important lessons to me. First, taking ECE program is one of my dreams, so my dream has finally come true. When I was a high-school student, I always thought about ECE program and tried to study in my high-school to take ECE program in college. Thus, when I took the program, I was so exciting. Second, I could learn about children in different ways in the college. I learned about psychology, culture, development, play, and physical of children in an ECE program. Finally, I have had experience working at the daycare centres in Canada. I took field placement course while I took an ECE program. First field placement was difficult because I could not speak English well and it was different between theory and practice. However, I enjoyed in the field placement. While I took the course, I could learn about children in practice.
I was expecting to learn from an ECE course that I would like to learn about children in different way. For example, I was expecting that I can learn about psychology, culture, development, play, and physical of children. Likewise, George Brown College taught me what I expected to learn about children from the course.
ECE course might benefit me in the future that it will be helpful to take a child studies in York University. Because an Early Childhood Education course are similar to a child studies course. In addition, ECE course will be helpful to teach children when I work in a kindergarten or day care centre.

Assignment1

I am Jeong Yeon Lee and I originate from the city of Seoul in South Korea. My English name is Eileen. I came to Canada to study because of the excellent training in Early Childhood Education (ECE). I studied Early Childhood Development program. When I took my placement, I learned and developed skills about Early Childhood Education.
When I was a high school student I came to enjoy nurturing children. I believe that I could teach them using innovative new approaches. I enjoy taking care of my two younger sisters. I enjoyed spending time with them because of those experiences leads me to become an Early Child Educator. I am fascinated by their pure ideas, their distinctive behaviors, and their developmental patterns, especially in relation to emotional development, self-expression, self-regulation, and empathy for others. I enjoy drawing and making creative toys with children. Taking care of my two younger sisters has required me to be responsible and observe them. Thus, I built a positive relationship with all families and children as I enhance my learning and development in my field placement. One of my Early Childhood Educator offered job for me, but I could not work in the day care centre because I have to take an English class. However, I sometimes do babysitting. I always think about children.
